We are all very tired now and the computers aren't working properly so I thought that we would just finish this Trewern Blog by saying that we have all had a lovely time here at Trewern. However some of us are now missing home and we can't wait to get back home to loved ones. Therefore here are some pictures of the activities. As you can see the children are having a wonderful time!!!

Hello from Trewern, we have had a lovely day with lots of sunshine. Two groups went to the cathedral today the other went climbing. All though some of us are very tired we are all having fun.
I know some of you children at school got frustrated today that your comments don't go on the blog straight away but this helps to keep our Blog as safe as possible.
Anyway enough from the teachers here what the children wrote about today.
Group 3
Today in group three we went on a gorge walk and it was so wet and also very cold. But we all encourage each other. We also done some rock climbing which was quite hard but once we got the hang of it most of us did well and got to the top. In the walk some of us went down a waterfall with a enormous splash.
Group 1 and 2
Today in group1 and 2 we went to Hereford cathedral to make some picture,by coloring over some pictures of stuff. Our second activity at Hereford cathedral was going to the top of the
church tower to where the bell was, then even higher to the roof. Later on we went to look at the ancient map of Mundi which shows Europe, Asia and Africa. The maps were on cow skin and the paint was made of animals blood.
Our other activity was the mountain walk, and we walked up the mountain with all sheep and horse poo. Once we got to the top our teacher aloud us to roll down it some people rolled right through some of the poo, luckily we were all wearing our water proofs.
A lot of what you learn in Trewern is not just about the outdoors, the children have to do a lot of tasks that they would normally leave to their Mums and Dads. The children have to keep the house tidy, make their own lunches and do all of the washing up.

Monday at Trewern
Good afternoon everyone we have had a fantastic day.
Group 1 went Canoeing and went on the Assault course
Group 2 went Rock Climbing and Gorge Walking.
Group 3 Went Caving
From Group 1
We are in group 1 with Mr O'Reidan. We got cold and wet when we went conoeing . One boat out of six fell in the water and we were not a very good team. I shared a boat with Mrs Canary and Nameka and we didn't fall in. We also went on a Obstacle Course. We had a very good time but we didn't get to go on one thing, the big swing. You had a big ditch with a rope in between it you had to get across by swinging across it. We had a zip wire it was actually quite scary but fun.

From Group 2
Group 2 was with Miss Roberts. Today we did a gorge walk! It was super fun and everyone enjoyed it. Nearer towards the end, some people started to get cold from the water but some of us were really enjoying it. Even though the water had got into our welly boots, we all worked as a team and if some people were struggling, we would all help. We had great fun and it was an amazing experience! I would definitely do it again. We also did Rock Climbing today .I really enjoyed it, it was fun. I was a bit scarred but you had to depend on your partner in case they fell.

From Group 3
We are all back safe and well, we all got a little cold and wet as it has been a miserable day.
When we got in the cave it was a cold and damp place. When we got to certain places we had to crouch and go on our tummies in water, the water was really freezing but everyone of us did it. One of our hardest challenges while in the cave was when we was in this certain part where we wet round it in pitch darkness, so it was really hard to keep up with the people in front! When we got back and we emptied our Wellingtons all we saw was a lot of water still we had a great time!

Group 3!
We are now back at base, having all showered, and we are all looking forward to home made Pizza and chips. The evening activity is Orienteering around the centre.

Safe Arrival At Trewern
Hello from Trewern. We have all made it safe and well to Trewern. We arrived at 7pm and quickly began to set up our beds with our bedding from home. Some of us found this more difficult than others. (Particularly the boys!)
At 8pm we went for our first activity which was a night walk around the centre. All of the children loved the walk in the darkness, many for whom, this was their first experience of walking completely in the dark.
All the children were decked out in their waterproofs and warm clothing. Unfortunately it was very cloudy so no shooting stars were seen this year but we hope that will change by the end of the week.
We finished the evening with a hotdog and a warm mug of hot chocolate, which was lovely!!!!
Hope you enjoyed our first installment, more to come tomorrow with some of the children writing their own experiences of the day.
Good Night, God Bless

Trewern
Dear Friend and Pupils of St.Peters.
Whilst Y6 are away at Trewern, we hope to send back news of our trip. If all goes well we will make small daily reports of the things we get up to, whilst we are away (so long as all the technology works ok!!)
Please can you remember when commenting on a Blog to only give your first name or to use the annoymous option, as this is the safest way to use the internet. Please try not to mention your class!

Junior Road Saftey Officers
Last week, four of our children were invited to the Town Hall to attend the Junior Road Safety Handover Day. This day allowed for Jodie and Dan to handover their Road Safety responsibilities to our new JRSO's Seun and Maya.
Jodie and Dan were honoured guest at the Handover ceremony as they were awarded a trophy from the Mayor himself as they were the two hardest working JRSO's, in the borough last year.
Well Done Jodie and Dan!
Already Seun and Maya have been very busy. Last Friday they took part in Operation Traffic Watch, where our two JRSO's with the help of our school's team of PCSO's were reminding drivers to wear their seat belts and not to park in front of our school.
